Warranty & Returns

1. Warranty

1.1 Under the following conditions, all products we sell come with a minimum 24-month parts and labor warranty, with longer warranties available for certain products. Additional details can be found in the product descriptions and warranty certificate for each project.

2. Warranty Exclusions and Limitations

2.1 We reserve the right to repair or replace defective parts at our discretion. We will make all reasonable efforts to enforce any guarantees or warranties provided by the manufacturers of the products we supply.

2.2 Our total liability for any loss arising from any defect or non-compliance of the products or any other breach of our obligations under the contract will not exceed the original purchase price of the products in any circumstances.

2.3 We shall not be liable for:

• defects caused by installation performed by personnel not affiliated with Homelovers. Our installation instructions must be strictly followed, and the products must be installed by relevant building codes, statutory requirements, and local government regulations, and in a professional manner;

• defects caused by abuse, neglect, misuse, accidents, acts of nature (such as over Level 10 storms and Level 6.5 earthquakes), or pests;

• any indirect or consequential damages or losses of any kind; 

• any loss caused by your employees, agents, or any other persons.

2.4 No warranties, conditions, or guarantees, whether express or implied, are given by us as to the quality, state, or condition of any products or as to their appearance, content, or fitness for any particular purpose.

2.5 If any defective products are repaired or replaced under warranty, the remaining balance of the original warranty shall remain effective. The replacement products or parts do not carry any warranty.

2.6 The warranty certificate will only be sent to you after the balance is settled. Any unsettled balance or refusal to pay the balance will not enjoy our warranty service.

3. Business Transactions

3.1 If we supply products for business purposes, then to the maximum extent permitted by law, all guarantees, warranties, rights, or remedies implied by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, and any other guarantees, warranties, provisions that would otherwise be implied by statute or rule of law are expressly excluded.

4. Making a Warranty Application

4.1 If you wish to make an application under your warranty, please provide us with complete details directly at sales@homelovers.co.nz, including:

• A full description of the issue;

• A copy of your invoice or other proof of purchase; and

• Your contact details, including the address where the product is located and the best daytime contact phone number.

Once we receive and review your request, we may contact you for further information. After evaluating the application and determining that it is the result of a defect covered by the warranty, we will arrange for repair or replacement in the manner we deem best.
